Note: In the 1901 Canadian census, Murray was working as a labourer for a paper mill in Merriton. He was earning $375 a year. The family was living in Merriton, Lincoln and Niagara Co, Ontario. In 1911 he and his wife, daughter and mother-in-law were living at 55 Queenston St., St. Catharines. He indicated that he had no occupation. In 1911 he was paying $43 a year for a $2000 life insurance premium.
Jean Smith Gill has a photo of Murray as a young man taken by Thomas Charles, Ontario Street, St. Catharines.
Willard Peter, Murray's brother was a witness at Murray and Margaret's wedding.
2010: Doris, Murray's granddaughter Doris gave a medal to her son John. One side of the medal shows the profile of Edward VII and the other side has the words "For long service in the Colonial Auxiliary Forces". On the edge is engraved "Sergeant-Major M. Stull 2nd Dragoons".
