 "This is to certify Elizabeth Kana, child of John Kana and Aloysia Bernarcik born on September 24th, 1907, was baptized on October 4th, 1907 in the Church of St. Michael Parish, Staunton, Illinois by the Rev. Fr. J.A. Duval. Sponsors were Joseph Bernarcik and Aloysia Tolasch."
  Elizabeth was orphaned when she was 10 - 12 years old and went to live with her maternal grandparents in Hartford? Parsboro?, Nova Scotia. When grown up, she went to Montreal to work.
  On her marriage certificate, Betty signed Elizabeth Kenna, daughter of John Kenna and Louise Bernatick.

 DEATHS
 ALLNUTT, Elizabeth (nee Kania). In her ninety-seventh year, Elizabeth passed away peacefuIly at the Griffith McConnell Residence on September 22, 2004. Beloved wife of the late George Raymond Allnutt. Also predeceased by her daughter Barbara Louise and her son George Raymond Jr. Lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Ruth Carse, her grandson Thomas Raymond Allnutt (Dawn Crawford), her granddaughter Kathryn Elizabeth Allnutt and five great-grandchildren: Jacob, Jade, Sean, Talia and Jorel. She leaves to mourn her two loving cousins Elizabeth Zambra and Helen Cutler in England. Sister-in-law of Marion and Mildred Allnutt and loving aunt of Wesley, Ann, Diane, Robert and Alan. A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Vankleek Hill, ON, on Saturday, September 25, 2004 at 3 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Foundation at the Griffith McConnell Residence, 5790 Parkhaven Ave., Cote St. Luc, QC, H4W lYl. The family would like to thank the staff at the Griffith McConnell for their care and compassion over the past eleven years.
