Note: William H. Allen Willian is the brother of Gerald Allen. He was born in Albany, N.Y. and at an early age migrated to Chicago. With his mother and brother. They lived together through school. At that time Gerald married. William continued to live with his mother.
In the 1880 U.S. Census William and his mother (Ellen Allen) are living at Laflin & 18th St. Southeast corner building. Ellen is listed at the widow of Dennis, and William is listed as a molder (Brass factory).
