She married Dennis Johnston Maynard Sr. about 1920 in possibly Chattanooga, TN. They had three children, Dennis Johnston Maynard, Jr., Asa Benjamin Maynard, and Lamar Maynard. After her divorce from Dennis Sr., she remarried to the Rev. John E. Jolley of Chattanooga, Tennessee. There were no children born to this second marriage. John E. Jolley was previously married to Grace Scott and with her had two children, John E. Jolley Jr. and Edgar M. Jolley. Alyce was a wonderful grandmother to me with a beautiful smile and a kind heart. "Papa John" as I grew up calling him, was the only grandfather I knew and I felt close to him. They lived together on Mayfair Avenue. This home was where my parents were married in 1951. Alyce died 5 March 1960 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
