 MARSEILLES - Asa B. Maynard, 81 of Marseilles, formerly of Ottawa, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. There will be no services or visitation. Arrangemnets were handled by Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Mr. Maynard was born June 27, 1925 in Nashville, Tenn., to Dennis And Alyce (Asa) Maynard, Sr. He served in the Army during World War II and was a partner in Maynard and Solvin Interior Decorators for 40 years. He also owned and operated the Golden Door Antique Store in Marseilles for 15 years until his retirement. He is survived by two nieces, Susan Maynard of Knoxville, Tenn., and Sandra J. Underwood of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; three nephews, Dennis Johnston Maynard III of Knoxville, Richard Maynard of Clearwater and Robert W. Maynard of Lewisville, Texas; and friends. Memorials may be directed to Marseilles Area Ambulance Service.
