Text:   The Mayflower Descendents has reprinted some of the old records of Kingston, Mass., in which Gershom Bradford is occasionally mentioned. Thus, on October 29, 1744, he was asked by the local court of Kingston to take an inventory of the estate of bRobert Cooke. /b(7) On December 20, 1744, the division of the above estate was sworn to by him. (8) On Oct, 1, 1744, he went on the bond of bEphraim Holmes/b, whom the Kingston court had appointed guardian of bSimeon Cook, a minor/b. Gershom Bradford was at that time listed as a resident of Kingston. (9) With two others he took an inventory of the estate of bMr. Francis Cooke /bof Kingston on Oct 6, 1746. (10) The writer doubts if he would have been called back from Bristol, R.I., to which he had supposedly removed in 1744, to act in the above mentioned capacities.
