She was attending school in Kentucky when her father was murdered and their house was burned down in Lorman, MS. She married when she was 30. No children resulted from this marriage. Here date and place of death have not been found. According to family tradition it was she who cut out the part of the page in the Shaw bible that had information on her date of birth. Frances McPherson was operating a boarding house in Beat #2 on the road from Fayette to Port Gibson at the time of the 1910 census. "See page 50B". She had four boarders. One was Cecilia "can't read last name" age 4, Roger Killingsworth, Jr, age 23, John Best, age 27, and her niece Jessie Killingsworth, age 11.
