Probate Court, Box 26. Will was made 13 Sep 1858 , Vol. 1, page 191. I, Adam Jordan of the County of Noble in the State of Ohio do make and publish this my last w ill and testament i manner and form following that is to say, first it is my will that all m y funeral expenses and just debts be fully paid, second. It is my will tht all my personal p roperty and real estate shall be sold and equally divided amongst my children according to la w after my debts, and lastly I hereby constitute and appoint my son William Jordan and my so n Benjamin Jordan to be the executors of my estate for this my last will and testament revoki ng and annulling all former wills by me made and ratifying and confirming this and no other t o be my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I Adam Jordan have hereunto set my han d and seal this 13th day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred an d Fifty Eight. Adam Jordan (seal) Signed published and declared by the above named Adma Jordan as and for his last will and tes tament in presence of us who at his request have signed as witness to the same. Coulter John Ha milton Whereas I Adam Jordan on the 13th day of September in the year 1858 made my last will and tes tament of that date do hereby declare the following to be a Codicil to the same. I do hereb y now revoke that part of my last will and testament in which I bequeathed to my son Adam D . R. Jordan, now deceased an equal share with the rest of my children and give and bequeath e nough thereof if enough there be, and if not enough, then as far as the same will go to my so n Benjamin Jordan as will satisfy certain claims which he holds against the estate of my sai d son Adam D. R. Jordan deceased, in testimony thereof I have here unto set my hand and sea l this 17th day of July i the year 1861. The following Journal entry was made which reads and is in the words and figure s following to wit; In the matters of Adam Jordans will; This day the last will and testament of Adam Jordan, Lat e of Brookfield Township in Noble County, Ohio, deceased, was produced in open court by Willi am Jordan and Benjamin Jordan, the executors in said will named, and John Hamilton one of th e subscribing witnesses to said will appraised and in open court an oath satisfied to the du e executors of said will and also to the handwriting of Samuel P. Coulter the other subscribi ng witness to said will and that the signatures of Samuel P. Coulter as a witness to said wil l was genuine, all of which testimony was reduced to writing, and by said John Hamilton signe d. Also appeared in court, James Hunter and Samuel Hunter subscribing witnesses to the Codic il to said will and on oath testify to the due executor of said Codicil to said will and th e said Samuel Hunter testified that the signature of Samuel P. Coulter to said will as a witn ess there to was genuine signature, that said Samuel P. Coulters residence at this time is un known, all of said testimony was reduced to writing by them respectfully.
