Funeral Services were held Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Jerseyville for Lois E. Brooks.
Mrs. Brooks, 87, died January 9 at Eunice Smith Nursing Home in Alton.
She was born November 29, 1912 in Kane, the daughter of the late Sherman and Anna (Crone) Hefner. She married Clarence A. Brooks in 1934; he died in 1994.
She worked in the payroll department of the Illinois Department of Mental Health in Springfield for 25 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jerseyville.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol J. (Gordon) Geil of East Alton and Judith A. (Frank) Fulkerson of Macomb; two sons, Robert L. (Wilma) Brooks of Jerseyville and Richard (Linda) Brooks of Chatham; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.
