Note: John Henry was in World War II but never saw action. His unit went to the Phillpines and the whole company was killed. At one time he was in Fort Ord In California and also in Texas. After the War he returned to Illinois and worked for the Chicago Park District. His father also worked for the District and was a park supervisor. My father became a park supervisor at Wells Park in Chicago for many years any was also the plant manager at the Adler planetarium for a number of years before he retired. About a year or two befor he retired he became a security supervisor in the park district.
