Note: From THE CORPUS CHRISTI CALLER, Saturday, June 27, 1925: MRS. STAEHLIN DIES FRIDAY AT HER HOME HERE Mrs. C. A. Staehlin, 44 years old, died at 5:30 o’clock Friday Evening [June 26, 1925] at the family home, 1916 Chaparral Street, after an illness of about three years duration. Mrs. Staehlin is survived by her husband, Dr. C. A. Staehlin; her mother, Mrs. Mary Blackwood of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Mrs. Mount of San Diego, Cal.; Mrs. J. C. Dunlap of Fort Sumner, New Mexico; and Mrs. J. I. Breckenridge of Corpus Christi; and three brothers, J. E. Blackwood of Oklahoma, and Lloyd and Clyde Blackwood of Missouri. Funeral Services will be held at 3 o’clock this afternoon at the First Methodist church, of which Mrs. Staehlin had been a member since childhood, with the Rev. W. L. Barr officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery, under the direction of David Peel. Pallbearers will be R. C. Burrow, H. M. Lively, Dr. F. R. Halstead, I. H. James, George L. Caldwell and J. H. Hightower.
