Note: From the CORPUS CHRISTI CALLER-TIMES, Sunday, August 15, 1999: ROCKPORT, TX - Dr. G. Noel Blackwood, age 77, passed away Saturday, August 14, 1999 in Aransas Pass, Texas. He was born in Mountain Grove, Missouri on January 24, 1922. Dr. Blackwood served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. Prior to moving to Rockport seven years ago, he was a chiropractor in Corpus Christi, Texas for over 40 years. He also served on the Board of Regents for The Texas Chiropractic College. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Blackwood, of Rockport, Texas; three daughters: Sandra (Charles) Waldrop of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Susan (Earnie) Cullison of Houston, Texas, and Becky (Skip) Preble of Boerne, Texas; one brother, Earl Blackwood of Portland, Texas; one sister, Betty Kiekhafer of Mississippi; and six grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 16, 1999 at The Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Aransas Pass, Texas.
