Light. __________ WILL OF ELBERT K. LIGHT Will Book A & B - pages 492-493 13 August 1896 I, Elbert K. Light, of Phelps County Missouri, in the fifty eighth year of my age, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, mindful of the uncertainty of life and desirous of disposing of my worldly effects in a manner satisfactory to myself while living, do make and publish my last will and testament as follows that is to say: First. I direct that all my debts and funeral expenses shall be paid out of my estate as soon as practicable after my decease. Second. It is my will that all my estate real, personal and mixed of whatever kind or nature shall be divided equally among my five children, Francis I. Hopkins, Margaret A. Hudgens, Joan Deskins, John W. Light, and Era I. Light, share and share alike after my decease, with the following exception towit: That my daughter Francis I. Hopkins, at the time of my decease, then it is my will that the said Francis shall receive as her share of my estate the sum of one dollar if her husband James M. Hopkins shall be living at that time, but if her said husband Jas. M. Hopkins be not living at the time of my decease, then it is my will that the said Francis I. Hopkins shall receive the one fifth share of all my estate as her hare, the same as the other four children. Having full confidence in the care and prudence of Thomas Hudgens, I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint him administrator and executor of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Rolla, Missouri this 13th day of August A.D. 1896. Elbert K. Light (seal) signed, sealed and published and declared by Elbert K.
