a. Note:   Grandpa and Grandma paid $2000.00 for their house in Dannemora. I found that in the Censusfor 1930 when Josesh Napoleon Osher was their only child at that time.
  We always went to grandma's house for 2 weeks in the summer (grandpa had died, I never meant him) we had a wonderful time. When we went out to play they always told us to stay away from the woods as Dannemora Prison used the woods for the convicts to go into. Gram's house and grounds were beautiful. A small Creek ran along the side of the house and we would play there until of corse we saw snakes then we wouldn't go there any more. Our Uncle Floyd and Aunt Jeanette brought their kids over and we would all hand out in the woods across the road from grandma's house not the ones in back. We would go to Uncle Maynard's cabin for swimming and boating. Always a wonderful time in Dannemora.
