a. Note:   raham identifies Joseph as the eldest son of Timothy Ingraham and Sarah Wilson Cowell. This is not correct. Joseph was the son of Henry Ingraham and Lydia Dawes.
  Supposedly Bishop Kip and one of the Chases, possibly Rev Samuel Chase, visited Temple Newsham and were welcomed as family. Whether they had information no longer available or just wishful thinking, all references to Temple Newsam are suspect.
  Joseph is NOT descended from Timothy Ingraham whose family settled in Rhode Island. Pages 9, 10, 16, 17,18, 19, 20, 22, 32, 128 and 129 apply to this Rhode Island family.
  Another error occurs on page 12. Duncan has Hannah Young as the second wife of Joseph b. 1689. She was actually married to Joseph's son Joseph b. 1714.
