Virginia "Nina" Richardson. Died Jan. 17, 1995
Traverse City - Virginia "Nina" Richardson, 87, of Traverse City, died Tuesday at Munson Medical Center.
An area resident since the early 1980's, she moved from Milwaukee, WI., where she had lived more than 70 years. She retired from Woolworth's, where she worked in the general accounting office.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Born July 27, 1907, in Wilkinsburg, PA., she was the daughter of Peter John and Adeline (Callahan) Ferguson.
A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by two daughters, Joan (Donald) Johnson of Marinette, WI., and Suzanne Hall of Traverse City; a son, Roger (Dottie) Richardson of Milwaukee, WI.; a sister, Carole Vasarella of Marinette, WI.; two nephews; 11grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Richardson; and two sisters, Grace Ziehms and LaVerne Hopf.
Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be contributed to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements were handled by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.
