Christine Sarah Syler, age 107, of Brunswick, formerly of Keytesville died Jan. 7, 1999 at the Brunswick Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 9, 1891 in Keytesville, daughter of Henry and Mattie Burns Arnsmeier. She married Frank Syler Nov. 6, 1929 in Keytesville and he preceded her in death March 18, 1965. She attended Schribner School in Keytesville. Mrs. Syler was a member of the Brunswick Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and had helped care for elderly people until she reached the age of 80. Her parents; husband; 3 brothers, Robert, Jesse and Fred Arnsmeier; and a sister Mattie Thrash preceded her in death. Survivors are a brother Roy R. Arnsmeier of Goleta, Calif; 4 nieces; 5 step-grandchildren; and several step great and great-great grandchildren. Visitation and funeral services were held Jan. 11 at the McCurry-Berry Funeral Home in Brunswick. Rev. Wendall Turner conducted the service. Burial was in the Bennett Cemetery.
