a. Note:   In the 1900 census, Josephine lists her year of immigration as 1873.
 This presents a small problem because in the 1880 census, Pauline is 9 years old (b. abt 1871) and POB is Chicago. So, either Pauline was born in Bohemia, on the boat or en route to Chicago - OR - Josephine immigrated before 1871.

Note:   (Research):According to the 1900 census, Josephine immigrated to the US in 1873 when she was about 19 years old, but in the 1910 census, her year of immigration is listed as 1869, 4 years earlier. Her first daughter, Pauline was born in 1871 and in the 1880 and 1900 censuses, Pauline's POB is listed as IL. Therefore, the earlier immigration year (1869) is probably correct.
  Josephine is in the 1910 census, but not in the 1920 census.
 She is listed as the owner of the property and there is no mortgage.
  Her resisdence is listed as 3028 Polk Street in the 1910 census and in the 1911, 1912 and 1913 Chicago City Directories. In each of those, her son Joseph is also listed at the same address.
  Josephine is not listed in the 1914 Chicago City Directory, but her son Joseph is still listed at the 3028 Polk Street address.
