Note: 1. He is with brother Robert in the 1911 Saskatchewan census. The Saskatchewan Homestead Index says he homesteaded on NW 30 18 21 W2. He and Grace Emily (sic) are in the 1916 Regina census. The family is listed in the US 1930 census for 1324 10th St., Santa Monica where William is said to be a rug maker with own shop, having emigrated to US in 1920. The census record gives wife as Grace (family sources had indicated Emma) and daughter as Elizabeth (family sources had indicated Marguerite). Living with them in 1324 10th St., Santa Monica was Alice BROADLEY (aged 65) recorded as sister but surely sister-in-law. Ancestry.com gives his christening as 20 Feb 1870 at Scrayingham, Yorkshire but on his US immigration papers his birthdate is given as 13 November 1870. He arrived in San Francisco from Victoria BC on the "Princess" 21 December 1920. In Nov 1926 he was a carpenter living at 1324 10th St., Santa Monica, California.
