Note: Beulah Irene Gibson was born at Roachdale, Indiana, on November 6, 1896. The family moved to Crawfordsville, Indiana and lived near Wabash College. Her father operated a grocery store. After her mother left her father, he moved Beulah and her brother Ernest to Indianapolis. She attended Indiana University and was a Pi Beta Phi. Later she worked in a bank in Indianapolis and met Dr. Acre during this time. Mrs. Acre did beautiful handwork and spent many hours rolling and whipping lace on finer linen. She was a member of the board of the Christian Home, a home for unwed mothers. She was on the Altar Guild at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Cansta was here favorite card game and she had several friends that she played with. Also Dr. and Mrs. Acre belonged to a poker club with several other doctors and their wives. In 1972 she moved to Owensboro to be with he daughter. She lived in two apartments before moving into her daughter's house 1987. She died at Mercy Hospital in Owensboro on October 30, 1990 and is in the mausoleum at Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville.
