Note: Hugh, the elder son, succeeded his father in 1909. Hugh married Ruth Antoinette Guillemard on 21st of October 1920, at St. Columba's Episcapal Church, Nairn, according to the Forms of the Episcapal Church of Scotland. His marriage certificate describes him as, Hugh Rose of Kilravock, Lieutentant Colonel (retired), Batchelor, aged 57 years, usual residence, Kilravock Castle, Gollanfield. Parents: James Rose, Major (Indian Army), deceased and Anna Maria Tremlow, deceased. Married by Arthur F. Pope, Late Vicar of Tring, assisted by E.F.Gillan, and the rector of St. Columba's Nairn. Witnesses Agnes Olive Guillemard and Catherine I. E. Pope.
