Note:   James M.Williams grave is in the Evant Mts. in Coryell Co.Tx . Grave is hard to locate, on fence line of Pierce Homeplace. This spot was intended for a Methodist Church. He was a preacher. There are two other graves there one of the White or Wylie Family and the other of his daughter, Nancy Jane Williams died at the age of 5. The cemetary may have been called the Rawhide Cemetary. James M. farmed around Malakoff in Anderson Co. and Palestine in Henderson Co. Tx. He served in the Civil War and there is a Marker on his grave. His brother-in-law , B.W. "Tip" McMorris, was his best friend, Tip was married to Julia (Aunt Dump) Haywood, Sarah Jane's sister. James and Tip joined the Confedrate Army the same time. James Martin Williams lived in what was called" The Tennessee Colony", which included the above towns. An Area called Wildcat Bluff was often spoke of. I don't know if he lived there. The family moved to Coryell co. Tx. between 1866/69
