Notes
a. Note:   9 Nov 1815: Birthdate computed based upon Patrick's age at death on his tombstone; birthplace according to Janice Cale Sisler's IN REMEMBRANCE: TOMBSTONE READINGS OF PRESTON COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA, V. 111, P. 106. 1850 Preston Co, WV Census: Not censused there. Sisler, President of the Preston Co, WV Historical Society, wrote me that she could not understand how Patrick could have farmed in Terra Alta, as was said about him in in the 1860 and 1880 censuses; it was not farming country. Also, "No O'Donnals showed up in her 400 volume collection of obituaries, pictures, unpublished genealogies, clippings and other items."

Accordingto Betty Whittaker White's THE PAST IS A KEY TO THE FUTURE: A HISTORY OF TERRA ALTA, WEST VIRGINIA AND ITS VICINITY, published in 1990 by the McClain Printing Co, Parsons, WV, the Irish Cemetery "is on a small bluff overlooking the south side of the [B & O] tracks east of Rodamer," P. 119. She lists 1885 as Patrick's date of death.
Note: The names of both Patrick and his wife appear in the Bishop Bible kept by the family of Wm Harrison aka Harry Bishop and Nora Anna (Coyne) Bishop. The relationship, if any, of the Coynes and O'Donnells is unknown. They may have just been good friends and neighbors.
