Note: n to be living close to one another . Their names were confirmed by her 97 year old aunt. One of Joshua's obituaries indicated that he had one surviving sister (unnamed). Linda believes that the brothers had two sisters, possibly named Martha and Mary. A Mary C. Crawford, age 18, is censused on p. 20, and Martha on p. 21. James Larry Austin (gunner4264@aol.com) on his site at http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:2274630&id=I503627332 provided the name of the parents [Jesse and Egletine in 1850 and Eyelin in 1860] of John L, Mary C. Martha, and James C. Crawford, and indicated that Wm M., John, Luther K., Walter L., Joshua B., Christopher Columbus, and Martha Crawford were the children of Jesse's second wife, name unknown. Actually, the latter seven children were born to Jesse's earlier wife, because they were born earlier that Egletine/Eyelin's children. I checked out these censuses and found the following: 13 Aug 1850 Georgia, Coweta Co, Division 19 Census, pp. 296-297: Jesse Cranford, 50, b SC, farmer; Eglantine Cranford, 35, b VA; John L. Cranford, 11, b GA; Mary C. Cranford, 8, b GA; Martha A. Cranford, 7, b GA. 24 July 1860 Georgia, District 4, Carroll Co, Rotherwood P.O., Census, P. 519: Jesse Cranford, 62, b GA; Eyelin Cranford, 48, b. GA; John D. Cranford, 21, b GA; Martha A. Cranford, 17, b GA; James C. Cranford, 8, b GA.
Note: Linda Austin provided the names of Joshua's brothers, their years of birth, and the states in which they were born, which information is contained in the 1860 Georgia, Carroll County, 9th District, Bowdon Census, pp. 19-20, where they are show
