He is listed with his parents in the Tyre, NY census: 1905 Carl L 1; 1910 Carl 6; 1915 Carol 11, at school. He is listed in the 1921-1922 Village of Seneca Falls Directory as a student boarding at 24 Maple. He is listed with Eileen and her parents in the 1925 Seneca Falls, NY census as Carl 21, laborer at gas company, son-in-law to Charles Durling. In the 1927 Seneca Falls, NY Directory he is listed with Gertrude as Carl, gas fitter at Empire Gas and Electric, residing at 1 Seneca. We moved from Eileen's parents' home at 1 Seneca Street, Seneca Falls, NY to Rtes 5 &20 near Packwood Road, Waterloo, NY Abt. 1936. Carl and Eileen bought a home nearby, RD #3, abt. December 1937 (for years designated as 704 Waterloo-Geneva Road, now 731), built by Elmer Young. Circa 1938 it was listed in a Seneca County farm register. Mr. Dutcher was born in the town of Seneca Falls, son of Clarence and May Joslyn Dutcher. He lived in this area all of his life. He was service manage with the NYS Electric and Gas Corp. and retired in 1969. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. He was a former lay reader at Grace Willowdale Episcopal Church. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of the NYSEG, a member of Elks Lodge 1054 of Geneva, the Geneva Rod and Gun Club and Geneva Country Club. Surviving are his wife, Louise; one son, Barry Dutcher of Marlboro, Mass; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Barbara) Lamond of New London, Conn; one brother, Leon Dutcher of Watertown; three sisters, Mrs. Samuel (Leona) Wooten of Mechanicsville, Md., Mrs. Leonard (Donna Rose) Meyers and Mrs. Harry (Beryl) Anderson, both of Seneca Falls; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews."
