Omaha Bee 8 Jun 1908 Huron, S.D., June 7: E J Ohr died suddenly of heart failure at his home in this city yesterday, aged 85 years. Mr. Ohr was a native of Maryland and in Nov. of 1844, married Leah Roherer, at Roterville, MD, who, with six children, survive him, viz: Jacob F Ohr, Winniwood, OK; Sophie E Stonebreaker, Huron; Mrs. C.C. Pinkney, Morgan Park, IL; Mrs. George Forbes, Berwin, IL; Mrs. W.W. Small, Fargo, N.D.; and Joshua E Ohr, Minneapolis. Mr. and Mrs. Ohr celebrated their sixty-fourth wedding anniversary last November. They came to Dakota in 1883 (from Iowa), and after living on a homestead near Alpena for several years, removed to this city, where they continue to reside.
