Note: N125 Elizabeth divorced her husband Edwin Olsen in 1937 or 1938 in St. Paul, MN after he had become involved with another woman during long work periods he spent in St. Paul while Elizabeth and the sons were living on the farm in Shell Lake, Wisc.
She moved to Medford, Oregon around 1947 or 1948, but would make trips back to St. Paul occasionally. On one trip she was injured when hit by a drunk driver who ran up on the sidewalk.
I met Elizabeth in her later years and recall her as a somewhat sad older woman with a gorgeous fur coat who came to visit when I was a kid. My mother has told me she never recovered emotionally after her husband Edwin became involved with someone else. She was a devout Catholic.
The 1900 Census shows her staying or living in Berlin, Wisc. with an uncle:
