Note: ith, 85, of Monroe, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Cecil Shaw officiating. Burial was in Cash Cemetery. Mrs. Smith died Sunday, March 9 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a factory worker and a member of Antioch Church of Christ. Born January 28, 1923, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Joel and Etter (Reagan) Garrett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Dudley Smith and Colbert Martin; 3 brothers, Avel “Doc” Garrett, Dorma Garrett, and Norton Garrett; and a sister, Nelma Ledbetter. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Darrel and Melissa Smith of Livingston; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Bud Worley of Monroe; a sister, Margie Maurice of Rickman; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Alberta Garrett of Monroe. Pallbearers were Roger Worley, Martin Worley, Greg Worley, Bud Worley, Adam Taqui, and Darrel Smith. Special care provided by Speck Funeral Home.
