  SMITH, WILLIAM ALVIN - age 88, passed away at his home in West Oneida Wednesday, April 26, 1967, after an illness of five months. He was a life long citizen of Scott County and a member of the Pentecost Baptist Church. Survivors: wife, LUCINDA SMITH of Oneida, Tennessee; 3 sons, LEVI SMITH of Oneida, Tennessee, CLYDE SMITH of Cincinnati, Ohio, ARVILE SMITH of Harrison, Ohio; 4 daughters, Mrs. LOU HURT of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. ELSIE HERMAN of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. DOROTHY WILDER of Loveland, Ohio, Mrs. CORDELIA WILDER of Glendale, Oregon; 1 brother, ISAAC SMITH of Oneida; 2 sisters, SARAH HAMMOCK and MARY WEST both of Oneida, Tennessee; 2 stepdaughters, HELEN SMITH and HAZEL PENNINGTON; 3 step sons, HAROLD STRUNK, BUSTER SMITH and BILL SMITH; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the West Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, April 29, 1967, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. JAMES E. MARCUM officiating. Burial followed in the Forbus Cemetery.
