a. Note:   , 2000 at Scott County Hospital. Mrs. SMITH, who was the daughter of the late LAWRENCE and JULIA SWEET BOYATT, was a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, L.J. SMITH; two sons, JUNIOR SMITH and wife PAMELA, and JIMMY SMITH; two granddaughters, CINDY and JESSICA SMITH; two sisters-in-law, ROSE PHILLIPS and MONA LEE SMITH; one nephew, DANNY PHILLIPS; other family members, including ARNOLD and CANEY BOYATT and GAIL TAYLOR, all of Oneida, and BERNICE BURKE of Cincinnati, O.; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 21, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home, with Rev. J.C. REYNOLDS officiating. Special music will be provided by the Duncan family. Burial will follow in the L.J. SMITH Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be BOBBY SMITH, NOAH HAMMOCK, JOHN ACRES, DILLARD SMITH, DANNY PHILLIPS, and TRENT SMITH. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 21, from 1 p.m. until services begin at 2 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home.
