Note: sey, 86, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home, with Bro. Robert Wright officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens. Mr. Ramsey died Sunday, April 25. He had retired to Livingston after working 22 years as a machinist in Detroit, MI. Mr. Ramsey was of the Greatest Generation, serving in World War II in the U.S. Navy from 1941 to 1945, receiving two Bronze Stars and numerous ribbons. Born November 19, 1923 in Allons, he was the son of the late Charles Bradley and Addieville Ramsey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clella (Coleman) Ramsey; a son James Clifford Ramsey; and 2 brothers, Castle Ramsey and Hollis Ramsey. Survivors include 2 sons and 3 daughters-in-law, Gary and Carolyn Ramsey, Larry and Jackie Ramsey, and Vicki Lynn Ramsey; a sister, Melva Little; a brother, Joe MacArthur Ramsey; Grandchildren, Andrew Ramsey and his wife, Amanda, J.R. Kinnaird III, and his wife, Sarah, Kelsie Clouse and her husband, Lewey, and John Cody Ramsey, and his wife, Ashley; and 3 great-grandchildren, Shayla, Emma, and Jade. Pallbearers were Charles Ramsey, J.R. Kinnaird III, Andrew Ramsey, Bruce Little, Malcolm Ramsey, and Gilbert Little. Honorary pallbearers were Lewey Clouse, Wayne Ramsey, and John Cody Ramsey. Special care provided by Hall Funeral Home.
