Nancy Speck -- [email protected] -- I'm also puzzled by the trees that say Josiah's father is Royall Bowman of Caswell County, NC. I've seen a copy of a will of 1791 which lists Siah Bowman as one of the sons. There is a marriage between Siah Bowman and Elizabeth Morton in Caswell Co. in 1793. If our Josiah is the son of Royal, I don't see how he could be the one who married Elizabeth Allred. On the other hand, I believe he is buried with Allreds at Shiloh Cemetery. Just to confuse matters even more, Royall Bowman is married supposedly to an Elizabeth Morton in Prince Edward County VA.
