a. Note:   t 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, September 20, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Nolan Cantrell, Rev. Ovle Tinch, and Rev. Elmer McCowan officiating. Burial will be in Oakley Cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangments. Mrs. Smith, a housewife, died Monday, September 18, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital. Born April 10, 1905, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Center and Rillie (Walker) Bowman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney L. Smith; a son, J.C. Smith; and a daughter, Anna Pearl Matheny. She was a member of Highland Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Harley Lee, Lakeland, FL, and Linda and Jerry Bilbrey, Highland Mountain Community of Overton County; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren. One special granddaughter, Angie Akers, cared forMrs. Smith for many years. Pallbearers will be Anthony Bilbrey, Sidney Lee, Randy Matheny, Ricky Ledbetter, Gerald Windle, and Joey Clements. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Gary Gargis, Bub Stockton, Haskel Nolan, A.B. Ledbetter, Coy Smith, Billy Ferrell, and M.J. Harris
