Obituary in The Scott County News 5 Nov 1965 page 4 -- Nettie Cochran passed away November 2, 1965 at home after an illness of two years. She was a life long resident of Scott County and a member of the Slick Rock Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Juanita Bowling of Robbins, TN and Ruby Bowling of Wakeman, Ohio, one son Homer Flowers of Seattle, Washington; fourteen grandchildren and five g-grandchildren. Services were conducted at 2 PM Thursday November 4, 1965 from the Cross Roads Baptist Church, Rev. Carl Jeffers officiated, interment followed in the Black Creek Cemetery. West Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. ((Scott Co., TN Cemetery book states she is buried in the Kilbeck Cemetery at Black Creek)
