Note: ity, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at his home. Mr. Curtis was born April 16, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio. He was a retired salesman in the paper industry and at the time of his death was serving as Commander of the American Legion Post 137 in Jamestown. Proior to serving as Post Commander, he had served in the capacity of Adjutant. He is survived by his wife, Pam Curtis, of the Mt. Helen community; two daughters, Kim Ashley of Newport Ridge, Florida and Tracy Krause and husband Craig of Florida; four grandchildren; Curtis, Jessica, Max and Sarah; one great-grandchild, Madison; brother, Charles Curtis and wife Susie of Florida; brother-in-law Bill Nelson of Connecticut; sister-in-law Marsha Huddleston of Florida; several nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert E. and Dove Slina (Vonrohr) Curtis. Chaplain Willie Wright will officiate at a memorial service scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8 at the American Legion Post 137 in Jamestown.
