Note: , 2011 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home. He was born December 25, 1921 in Somerset, Kentucky to the late James Edgar and Sally Mae (Victory) Wright. He was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II. He had worked for many years at Burgess Foundry in Cambridge City and had previously worked in tree trimming. He loved watching wrestling, fishing and boating. He loved his children and grandchildren. Survivors include, six children, Jimmy C. (wife, Carleatta) Wright, Edra K. Wright (companion, Lloyd Garrett), Vesta Fay Wright (companion, Joey Crabtree), Linda Sue Wright Swails (companion, Angela Duvall) all of New Castle, Patricia Lynn Wright (husband, Danny) Hunt of Kennard, and Christie M. Wright (husband, Gene) Van Matre of Farmland; eleven grandchildren, James Wright, Amanda Ewing, Christopher Haynes, Alexander Moore, Pamela Mundy, Sarah Schmidt, Amanda Perkins, Brittany Jolley, Danny Hunt, David Dunham, and Allen McKinney; fifteen great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Christine Wright of New Castle; caregiver, Devin Asberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Wright, June 24, 2010; a special grandson, Scott Joseph “Scotty” Crabtree; four sisters, Opal Savage, Effie Wright, Eula York and Pearl Morehead; three brothers, Bruce, Ocie and Horace Wright. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend J. D. Beck Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 at the funeral home.
