  4) Obituary on May 28, 1926 in the Ohio County News states that he died at his son Logan's home in McHenry when he accidentally stepped off the porch and fell about 3 feet. This caused internal injuries that led to his death. Although his health was very good for a man his age, he was nearly blind. He was one of the oldest citizens and had aided in the development of the area.
Note:   Death certificate lists his mother's name as Welborn. (handwriting looks like Welbern). H
