a. Note:   Living in Banner Roslin Community, Fentress Co, TN in Mar 1996. Obituary in The Fentress Courier 27 Oct 2010 -- Mary Edna Slaven, age 79, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Signature HealthCare of Fentress County. Mrs. Slaven was born May 31, 1931 in Jamestown, Tennessee. She was a factory worker. Mrs. Slaven is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Emery and husband John of Jamestown and Sharon Morgan and husband Ron of Mameta, CA; son, Gary Roysden and wife Ella of Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. Mrs. Slaven was preceded in death by husband, William Bill Slaven; father, James Roysden; mother, Katie Roysden; grandson, James Emery; great-grandson, John-John Emery; great-granddaughter, Delightful Morgan; three brothers, Arthur Charlie and Carlie Roysden; and three sisters, Armenda Conatser, Ebidell Crabtree and Martha Gossett. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Duncan and Bro. Roger Thompson officiating. Burial followed in the Allardt Cemetery. Active pallbearers included Carlos Slaven, Raymond Hicks, Greg Wright, Jackie Slaven, Joshua Babb and Jeremiah Jones. Honorary pallbearer was David Slaven. Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.
