a. Note:   Living in Jamestown, Fentress Co, TN in Oct 1998. Obituary in The Fentress County Courier 25 Feb 2009 -- Wilburn C. Choate, age 92, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at his home. Mr. Choate was born November 25, 1916 in Jamestown, Tennessee. He was a farmer. Mr. Choate is survived by son, Bobby Choate and wife Carolyn of Jamestown; three daughters, Ann Manis and husband William of Jamestown, Betty Manis of Byrdstown and Janis Delk of Jamestown; twenty grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Minnie Cooper, Clara Hinds and Pauline Choate all of Jamestown; and two brothers, Roy Choate and Herman Choate both of Jamestown. Mr. Choate was preceded in death by wife, Leva (Cooper) Choate; father, Marvin Choate; mother, Nena (Bowden) Choate; three brothers, Willis, Willie and Walter Choate; son-in-law, Junior Manis; two grandchildren, Patricia Manis and Gary Wayne Delk; three infant brothers and sisters; and sister, Grace Linder. Funeral services were held Monday, February 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Cravens officiating. Burial followed in the King Cemetery. Pallbearers included Lynn Delk, Jerry Delk, Edd Choate, John Choate, Robert Manis, Roger Manis, Ricky Manis, Ronnie Manis, Raymond Manis and Richard Manis.
