Obituary in The Fentress Courier 2 Oct 2013 -- William Manis, age 71, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 at his home. Mr. Manis was born December 11, 1941 in Pickett County, Tennessee. He was carpenter/construction worker. Mr. Manis is survived by wife, Ann (Choate) Manis; six sons, Robert Manis and wife Patsy, Roger Manis and wife Lana, Rick Manis and wife Joretta, Ronnie Manis and wife Paula, Raymond Manis and wife Amanda and Richard Manis and wife Misty; six daughters, Rita Smith and husband Steve, Reba Manis, Rhonda Copeland and husband John, Reva Garrett and husband Kevin, Ruby Wright and husband Joey and Rebecca Cravens and husband Bud; twenty-five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Shorty Manis and Leonard Manis; two sisters, Faye Kleinau and Wanda York; and special care givers, Brian Doss and Phyllis Ledbetter. Mr. Manis was preceded in death by father, Roy Manis; mother, Silvia (Matthews) Manis; brother, Tommy Manis; sister, Kay Nodine; and one infant sister. Funeral services were held Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Jackie Reagan and Bro. Ricky Cravens officiating. Burial followed in the King Cemetery. Pallbearers included Robert Manis, Roger Manis, Rick Manis, Ronnie Manis, Raymond Manis and Richard Manis. Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.
