!DEATH: Death cert. (acquired Mar. 23, 1992) says parents names unknown. Informant was Herbert. She lived at Plateau for 33 years. Was 74 years, 3 months, 2 days old. Birth date stated as Nov. 2, 1861. A house wife. Birthplace was town of Sewanee, Florida. She had a fall at home Oct. 30 and fractured her hip, which led to her death by embolism Dec. 5th, 7:30 a.m.. Doctor attended her from Oct. 30, '35 to Dec. 5. Have photo of headstone in Pinecrest Cem., Mobile. Body handled by Roche Undertaking. Name spelled Banie.
Obit. in The Mobile Register, Dec. 6, 1935, p.2, says Mrs. Banie Mason, wife of Herbert O. Mason, native of Sewanee, FL, resident of Plateau for the past 33 years. Survived by husband, son, two daughters.
!SPOUSE: 1930 Mobile city director lists Luvenia with Herbert. Could this be Banie's other given name?
!MARR: Levy co., FL records indicate Barrie (sic) Philips and Herbert O. Mason married Oct. 14, 1885.

1910 census lists Banie, 48 with Herbert & 3 kids. She was b. GA, her parents NC. She's mother of 3 & all 3 alive.
1900 census for Butler co., Ala., Greenville, e.d 20, sh. 14, lists Banie, 36, b. Nov. 1863 in GA. Dad b. GA, mom Ala.. Married 14 years. Mother of 3, all of which are living.
