Note: !BIRTH: 1880 Wilson co. TN. Middle initial from Samuel Davis will. See his notes. !CENSUS: 1900 Jefferson co., Alabama census, ED 143, sh. 4, line 15, lists in B'ham a Wm M Mandlebaum, 37, wife Emma S., 37, b. May, 1863 in TN., as were her parents. Their son is Henry M., 10.
1880 census, Wilson co., TN lists Emma Davis, 17, with J. M. & Ann Cole. Listed as stepdaughter to head of household.
1870 census for Greenhill, Wilson co., TN lists Emma Davis, 6 with mom Annie & her siblings.
!LIFE: I came across what I've labeled "Davis Doc.", found maybe in the Mt. Juliet library. Don't know the author. It's typed. Says that Emma Davis, Ann's daughter, married a Smith & went to live in B'ham. Says Emma's mother died at her place.
!DEATH: "Some Inscriptions from Ala. Cem.", vol 3a & 3b says Emma Huston Smith, 1858-1922, bur. Elmwood Cem.. Probably not ours.
