!OBIT: In the Nashville Banner, Friday, Nov. 30, 1917, p. 14, is the following obit.:
COLE--Thursday morning, Nov. 29, 1917 at 10:30 o'clock, at his home, six & a half miles on the Brick Church Rd., C. Henderson Cole, aged 66 years. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. John W. Walker, W. C., A. D. and M. H. Cole of this city.
Funeral from the residence tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 10 o'clock, services conducted by the Rev. Allen Miller.
D. B. Evans, C. H. Vaugn, R. B. Harrell, Richard Hyde, Will Hunter, Frank Ulrich, Porter Jackson and John L. Gilliam will serve as pallbearers.

1880 census for Davidson co., TN lists Charles H. Cole, 29, b. TN, farmer. With him is his wife N. Eliza, 21, b. TN as were her parents. She's keeping house. Their daughter is listed as M. Eliza, 9 months, b. TN. I believe this Charles is our Cornelius. Listed next to this family is Leroy & Annie Cole on one side & William H. & Lizzie Cole on the other.
1900 census for Davidson co., TN lists Cole, C. H., 49, b. Jan. 1851. Lives 21 Civil Dist. Renting. Listed wi/wife Nanny, kids Ella, William, Denton, Marshal, & nephew Haggard Wagoner.
