  Funeral services were held Thursday for Arthur L. Starmer, former Stevenson resident, who died in Vancouver (according to the Columbian, but he died in a hospital in Portland, Oregon). on Monday, June 9 at the age of 60. Mr. Sarmer was born Octobger 5, 1908 at Oakland, Oregon, and lived in Stevenson from 1948 to 1957. He started the first dry cleaning plant there, owned and operated the Fort Rains Inn, and worked for the Esch Trucking firm. He was a past president of the Lions Club, a member of the Eagles Lodge, and a member of the Vancouver Elks Lodge. He had been living in Vancouver and was employed as operational manager for Wolf's Auto Supply. He is survived by his wife Falye at home; daughters Mrs. Robert (JoY) Berg, Mrs. Melvin (Georgena) Hanning, and Mrs. Ronald (Cindy) Hanning; three sisters, Mrs. Nina Watt and Mrs. Bertha Stanly, both of Portland, and Mrs. Clara De Sjpain, Stanfield, Oregon; a brother, Wyatt Starmer of LaGrande, Oregon; a brother-in-law, Ray Moore of Stevenson nephew Major Ralky Moore of Barstow, Calif., nieces Mrs. Judy McKee and Ginger Moore os Stevenson; and six grandchildren. Services were held at the Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home in Vancouver with the Rev. Fred L. Waller officating. Interment followed at Park Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Ray Irwin, Leonard Foster and Al Hoffman of Stevenson, and Leslie Wolf, Lloyd Johns and George Kern of Vancouver. Honorable bearers were Jim Gates and El Morrison.
  Dad died June 9, 1969 at Portland Medical Center, 511 SW 10th Portland, Or. He was in the hospital for 55 days and lived a 1913 Lichner Rd, Vancouver, Ws. Social Security #541-09-5700, Salesman, at Wolf's Auto Supply. Dad was 60 years old.Dad died of Hemoraging from kidney biopsy, cerophorsis of the liver, and coagulation defect.
  Then mom lived 8403 NE St. Johns Rd., Vancouver, Wa.
  In February 21, 1969, mom and dad signed a Property Agreement. They lived at 1913 Leichner Rd., Vancouver, Wa.
