a. Note:   Funeral Notice: Funeral services are to be held at the Howell-Edwars chapel Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Edward E. Moore, who died at White Salmon, Wash. Rev. Roy Ferguson will officiate at the service and interment is to be in the City View Cemetery. The services will be under the direction of the Gardner Funeral Home of White Salmon, Wash. Moore, a resident of Salem for 75 years of his life, was a late resident of 1990 Kapphan Rd. He was born on a farm southwest of Salem, October 3, 1879, and was the son of the late Manley and Sara A. Moore. Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Estella Moore of Salem; a daughter, Mrs. Faye Starmer of Sevenson, Wash; a son, Manley Raymond Moore of Stevenson, Wash; a brother, George Moore of Salem: and a sister, Mrs. Alice Gibson of Salem.

  Joy said: That Grandpa was very mild manner and never cursed! His family was upset with him for marrying Grandma!
  I can only remember Grandpa sitting in his chair with a empty coffe can under him as he kepted coughing and spitting into it! I understand that he had emphazema from smoking so much. He and grandma lived in the old white farm house with a big, huge willow in the front yard, next to a train track.
