Note: Obituary: Dale R. Fritchley Dale R. Fritchley, age 73, of Walnut Creek, passed away Sat. evening in Union Hospital. He was born in Canton, a son of the late Wilbur and Aimee Roshon Fritchley, was raised in Waynesburg, resided in the Waco area 47 years, and moved to Walnut Creek in 2002. He and his wife have wintered in Port Isabel and South Padre Island TX for many years. Dale was a 1950 graduate of Malvern High School. He retired in 1987 from the U. S. Postal Service, after 35 years, where he was a Letter Carrier out of Station B. He was a former member of Fairmount Park Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder and Trustee, and now is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Dale also was a member of Lathrop Lodge #676, F. & A.M., which he served as Master in 1971, Canton Chapter #190, O.E.S., all York Rite Bodies, and was a former member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton and Tadmor Temple. He served with the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by his sister, Jean Downes. Survived by his wife, Arlene Fritchley, with whom he celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary on Nov. 16th; two daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and David Beshore, of N. Industry, and Cynthia and Mark Fritz, of N. Lawrence; two sons, Dale Fritchley, of Norfolk, VA, and Wilbur Fritchley, of Canton; one brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Dorothy Fritchley, of Magnolia; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Donal Rossire and Rev. William R. Pawson officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
