A lifelong resident of the city, Mrs. Bernard was a retired fancy stitcher from Tyer Rubber. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She leaves sons Robert of Lawrence, William of Haverhill, and Herbert of Salem, N.H.; daughters Theresa Locke of Andover, and Elaine Watton of Pirate Harbor, Fla.; brothers Harold Brooks of North Andover, Leo Brooks of Salem, and Maurice Desruisseau of Lawrence; sister Doris Morache of Lawrence; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; seven great- great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Andover. Family and friends may call tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Rosinski Salem Street Funeral Home Inc., 81 Salem St., Lawrence. |
