a. Note:   Obit. ALFREDO BACA RITES AT SOCORRO THURSDAY Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 9 am at the San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro for Alfredo Baca, lifelong Socorro resident who died in a Socorro hospital yesterday after an illness. Rosary will be recited today at 8pm. in the Steadman chapel at Socorro. Mr. Baca, who was 76, had served as deputy sherriff in 1917 and 1918, as county assessor from 1929-1936, and as chief of police from 1941 to 1948. He is survived by five sons, Max, Aaron, and Conrado Baca of San Francisco, Alfredo Jr. of Socorro and Fermin Baca of Los Angeles; a daughter, Mrs. O.O. Vigil of San Francisco; a brother, Epifiamo Baca, and a sister, Mrs. Juan Armijo, both of Albuquerque.
b. Note:   Died in the hospital after a long illness.
