Note: ere married at the home of her brother Francis Ludolph Wallis and they made their wedding journey to Baltimore with horse and cutter crossing the Chesapeake ice and returned same way, 1835 being a very severe winter. There is an envelope in the Maryland Historic Society Library, Filing case A, with a paper doily from Mary Araminta's honeymoon. The envelope says, in the handwriting of Alice J Gates, granddaughter of Mary Araminta; Mary Araminta Wallis Palmer wedding trip. Stopped at Barunnis Hotel, then a very fine and fashionable hotel and she was given the enclosed at that place.
