  July, 22 1927-Mrs Josie Gilliland was found dead late Wednesday evening close to her home near Hardin's Knob. Mrs Gilliland was evidently on her way from a spring near her home to the house. Sheriff P. R. Taylor and County Judge L. E. Waddell held an inquest and declared death due to the infirmities of old age, the deceased being seventy-five years old, Funeral servicies were held Thursday afternoon with interment at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
